EOAgriTwin Presented at Key Events on Digital
EOAgriTwin took part in two events addressing digital twin advances for climate and Earth systems, alongside the latest developments within Destination Earth.
The first event was the “Digital Twins for Climate, Biodiversity and Earth System Modeling” seminar at the CSC Life Science Center in Finland. EOAgriTwin was presented with a focus on assessing cropping systems under biotic and abiotic stresses by integrating Earth Observation data with climate reanalysis, IoT sensor measurements and field observations. The presentation highlighted model outputs related to heat, drought, water use, pathogens and the impact of management practices such as irrigation. The presentation was followed by productive discussions on interaction with the wider digital twin landscape and opportunities to link the agricultural impact case with the Climate Digital Twin.
The second event was the Third National Destination Earth Stakeholder Workshop in Bonn, hosted by the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport (BMV) and the German Space Agency at DLR. EOAgriTwin was represented by Maximillian Schwarz, who outlined how DestinE services are being applied in practice and how agricultural digital twins can make use of DestinE components and interfaces to connect with the broader ecosystem.
