EOAgriTwin at EGU26

EOAgriTwin is heading to Vienna! Dr. Jamina Bondad will showcase our latest advancements in merging process-based crop models with Earth Observation to upscale drought detection from field to district levels. This research provides a digital twin foundation for exploring “what-if” scenarios and evaluating how climate shifts and irrigation shape future agricultural productivity.

ESA Booth: Project Overview & Live Demo

Wednesday, 6 May | 16:40 Join us at the European Space Agency (ESA) booth for a comprehensive look at the EOAgriTwin project. We will walk through the project’s core components, discuss diverse use cases for climate-resilient farming, and feature a live demo showing how Sentinel data powers our agricultural digital twins in real-time.

Oral Presentation

Thursday, 7 May | 16:50 – 17:00 (Session BG9.10) Upscaling drought stress detection through integrated crop model and remote sensing data

Dr. Bondad will present a framework that integrates process-based crop models with Sentinel data to upscale drought stress detection and evaluate crop-specific yield impacts across Germany. This research establishes a foundation for agricultural digital twins, enabling systematic assessment of future climate and management scenarios.
