EOAgriTwin at the 19th Congress of the European Society for Agronomy

The biennial Congress of the European Society for Agronomy (ESA) was held in Tartu from 24 to 28 August 2026. Dr. Jamina Bondad presented the proof of concept and preliminary results for the EOAgriTwin Kenya use case during the session “Digital and modelling tools for agronomy”. Her talk showcased the development of a process-based crop-pest linked model using APSIM (Agricultural Production Systems sIMulator) Next Generation, detailing how the framework seamlessly accounts for crop physiological damage effects caused by key biotic constraints (fall armyworm, stem borer, and striga weed) in Kenyan maize production systems.
